The Top 10 City Hotels in Greater Los Angeles in 2018
Every year for our World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Hotels were rated on their facilities, location, service, food, and overall value. Properties were classified as city or resort based on their locations and amenities.

On the list this year are relative newcomers, such as Montage Beverly Hills, which opened in 2008 and has multiple restaurants and a rooftop pool with cabanas. “Drinks and live music at the Garden Bar was a fantastic experience,” raved one fan. Another nascent addition is the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, a perfect pick for those who wish to tower above the scene in a 73-story glass building. And the year-old, 170-room Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, which boasts a La Prairie spa and a rooftop Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant, elicited the reader assessment “Best new hotel in Los Angeles. Amazing!”
At the London West Hollywood, steps from Sunset Boulevard, the 226 suites have private terraces and elegant, understated décor. And this year’s winner, which was recently renovated, has only 116 suites; staying here may make you feel that you are in your own home (if your home has turndown service).
In a city that’s often about striving, a visit to one of these spots reminds you that you’ve already arrived. Read on for the full list of winners.
