Beautiful Summer Travel Photos
Travel + Leisure joined other Time Inc. publications (Food & Wine, LIFE, InStyle, Coastal Living, Southern Living, Essence, Health) in asking followers like @jerricantan to upload photos with the hashtag #howisummer. With more than 9,000 photos submitted in one July week, the callout was so successful that we decided to continue this campaign celebrating summer beyond Labor Day.
What do all of our followers have in common? They like to eat. Travelers got out of the kitchen and into the great outdoors to enjoy seasonal treats like ripe tomatoes, lobster rolls, and a rainbow of icy popsicles.
Follower @jplotzster had us panting for breath on the climb to the summit of Whiteface Mountain in New York’s Adirondacks—the view made it worth the trek. Others like @ldc56 had us ready to break free from our cubicles, grab our sunglasses, and catch the next plane to Santorini.
Summer may be almost over, but these beautiful #howisummer photos are inspiring us to look forward to next year and, of course, the next season, when we ask you to share your autumn photos. Hashtag to be determined—and no, it won’t be #howifall.
