Three new design hotels in St.-Tropez are as over-the-top as the destination itself.

French graffiti artist Monsieur André can now add hotelier to his résumé with the retro Hôtel Ermitage (Ave. Paul Signac; 33-4/94-97-52-33;; doubles from $310). Each of the 27 stylish rooms was decorated by one of his friends (Chloë Sevigny and Christian Louboutin among them), and the hotel’s restaurant is already drawing crowds.

You’ll find a Dom Pérignon champagne bar next to the lobby of the Sezz Saint-Tropez (Rte. des Salins; 33-6/40-13-11-89;; doubles from $780)—a cluster of 37 Modernist villas and suites designed by Philippe Starck protégé Christophe Pillet.

At the Zen-inspired Muse (Rte. des Marres, Ramatuelle; 33-4/94-43-04-40;; doubles from $660), 15 suites give onto a terraced garden overlooking the Mediterranean. To reach the nearby beach, hop on one of the hotel’s free bikes or take the shuttle—a Bentley, no less.
