Europe's Tulip Fields Are the Ultimate Spring Destination
When it comes to spring flowers around the world, there are a few displays that stand out. Japan has its cherry blossoms (as does D.C.), southern California has its desert flowers, and Europe of course has its tulip fields.
For tulip fans, there are several spring destinations with blooms of all of the colors of the rainbow.
In Amsterdam, you can see them at Bloemenmarkt in the city centerāor venture out of the city on the Bloemen Route, a 25-mile flower-filled road trip. The region of Holland offers tulip cruises and tulip bicycle tours. Keukenhof, the āGarden of Europe,ā will be open from March 23 to May 21, 2017.
And there are many other places around the world to find tulips, from Turkey's Konya, which opens for two days to the public when blooms are at their peak, to the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley, Washington.
