A Bunch of Skiers in Swimsuits Just Broke an Extremely Cold World Record in Russia
If you thought your winters were rough, try skiing in Russia — in a bikini. More than 1,000 people stripped down to their swimwear at the Rosa Khutor in Sochi on April 1. Don't worry, this was an organized effort to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Swimwear Parade on Skis.
They're only competing against themselves. Last year's Boogel Woogel festival — an annual event put on by the resort — brought out 1,008 swimsuit skiers. This year, 1,111 showed up for the task at hand.
This swimsuit ski parade isn't the only attraction. According to EventsinRussia.com, there's also an open-air pool, live music, street food, and water jumping, whatever that may mean.
If you're a fan of polar bear plunges, winter in general, or skiing, this may just be a springtime event to add to your bucket list. Or you could, you know, spend some time on a beach somewhere instead.
