The inaugural Ringling International Arts Festival—apartnership between the Baryshinikov Arts Center in New York and the Ringling Museum, on the64-acre estate of circus legend John Ringling, presents world and U.S. premieres from renowned andemerging performers: legendary director Peter Brooks stages Love is My Sin, a dramatizationof Shakespeare sonnets; the New York-based experimental theater company Elevator Repair Servicereinterprets Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises, and Israeli choreographer Deganit Shemyoffers the full-evening dance work Arena, commissioned by the festival.
