Your next car may be ... a station wagon. With sleek lines, sporty handling, and, most significant, more room—thanks to three rows of forward-facing seats—the wagons of the future are geared to parents desperate for space but too proud for a minivan. First out of the gate is Chrysler's Pacifica, making its debut this spring, with an integrated navigation system, a flip-down DVD screen, and seating for six. The design-conscious may want to wait for the Vision GST from Mercedes, with a sexy speedboat profile and three rows of bucket seats (alas, still in the concept-car stage). With a wagon this hip, squabbling may well break out in the front seat—over which of you gets to take the wheel. —Michael S. Cain
