It’s no small world for Adventures by Disney (877/728-8740;; eight-day journeys from $2,299 per person), the entertainment empire’s new travel division, which ushers families on guided group tours, everywhere from Wyoming to Westminster Abbey. Kids get their own plan of action on the one-week trips, freeing Mom to, say, ogle the Mona Lisa while Junior tears around the Louvre on a treasure hunt. Lessons from local experts (cowboys, glassblowers) are also on the schedule, as are surprise appearances from costumed characters, though not of the usual Disney sort. Ben Franklin greets the group in Philadelphia, and Marco Polo tells travel tales in Venice. For the parts of the world you don’t get to visit, there’s always Epcot.
