Six Senses continues to champion high-end sustainable design with the 56-villa Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi (doubles from $804), on a tranquil island near Phuket. Villa roofs are made with regionally sourced thatching, and private infinity pools are filled with water from the reservoir on site.
The owner of Siem Reap's single-room One Hotel Angkor has just opened the three-room Hotel Be Angkor, which features work from local artists, such as sculptures made out of rattan, bamboo, and water hyacinth.
