Aspen's spa scene just got a face-lift with the debut of the first Remède Spa, at the St. Regis Resort (315 E. Dean St.; 888/454-9005; Built with locally sourced and imported timber and stone, the 15,000-square-foot retreat takes its therapeutic cues from its surroundings: the coed soaking pool, which mimics the Colorado hot springs, has cutouts along the river-rock wall for waterfall massages; treatment rooms come with down duvets and cashmere throws; the lounge has a fireplace and an oxygen bar (remember, Aspen is 8,000 feet up). Every therapy is based around the cult Remède product line, developed by Bliss founder Marcia Kilgore. If Aspen isn't on your calendar for spring, the St. Regis Hotel, New York will open a miniature version of the spa this summer; treatments are designed to counteract the effects of hailing a taxi during rush hour on a humid Big Apple July day. On the horizon: the flagship Remède Spa at the new St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco, set to open in the fall.
