Here's an idea worthy of Cool Britannia: the London Fashion Bus (44-795/136-9022;, a mobile boutique that tours the town, bringing edgy designs to not-so-edgy neighborhoods. Fashion entrepreneur Barry Laden, who runs Brick Lane's Laden Showroom (the destination for up-and-coming young talent), wanted to expand his reach, so he bought an old double-decker bus, ripped out the original seats, installed full-length mirrors and fitting rooms, and painted the outside, appropriately, with a Union Jack. The bus has been making the rounds since spring, parking for a few hours at a time in spots where Laden feels passers-by might be starved for, say, flippy minis by Romeo Pires or hand printed, punk inspired T-shirts by Charles of London.
