Construction is nearly complete on Jerusalem's Moshe Safdie-designed addition to the Holocaust History Museum. The next big build for the city: the Center for Human Dignity-Museum of Tolerance, created by superstar architect Frank Gehry and slated to open in early 2008. The 53,000-square-foot stone, titanium, and glass center includes two museums, a theater complex, and a series of "social laboratories" for exploring issues like terrorism and anti-Semitism. The museum's goal, to promote respect between Jews and non-Jews, is a lofty—and timely—one.
