What looks like a bumper car, knows all the best spots in San Francisco, and talks back (but in a nice way)? It's the three-wheeled wonder from GoCar Rentals (2715 Hyde St.; 800/914-6227; www.gocarsf.com; $40 for first hour). Each two-seater has a GPS that triggers an audio tour as you tootle along a 12-mile route (in the Presidio, for example, your car points out George Lucas's new studio; in ritzy Sea Cliff, it pegs Robin Williams's street). • Another futuristic way to see San Francisco? In Electric Time's new Global Electric Motorcar, or GEM (Pier 29 1/2; 415/788-4300; $49 for the first hour in a four-seater). This environmentally friendly baby, which resembles a souped-up golf cart, can't exceed 25 mph but has no trouble taking on the hills. Now the best part of seeing the sights might just be getting to them.
