This fall, my must-have accessory isn’t a pair of riding boots or a bomber jacket. Nope, I am officially obsessed with a red lipstick—packaged in a minimalist black tube, marked by interlocking Gs—from Gucci. For the first time ever, the Italian fashion house is stepping into the world of beauty with a range of products including lipsticks, shadows, foundations, and high-wattage mascara. If you're planning a city getaway for this fall, add these makeup essentials to your carry-on routine.

Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, paired with makeup artist-slash-genius Pat McGrath to develop the line, which is sleek and sophisticated in terms of packaging, and bold and rich when it comes to color. The two riffed on the hues found in the brand’s ready-to-wear collections: gold, black, red, bronze, copper, and ottanio—an incredible aqua blue, which as an eye shadow, adds just the right touch of drama for a night out. My other favorites from the line are the Vibrant Demi-Glaze Lip Lacquer, clutch for its long-lasting, non-sticky formula (I swear one swipe lasts three-plus hours, which is just what I need on a business trip), and the fine-tipped Power Liquid Liner. The liner stayed put for 12 plus hours, and even made it through a gym workout—clutch for any traveler on the go.
