I've long been a fan of Amrita Singh's glittering jewelry, and I'm hardly the only one—Jennifer Lopez, Katie Homes, and Anne Hathaway are devotees of her ornate necklaces and gem-studded bangles. So when I heard Singh was launching a new home collection with an exclusive party at a penthouse suite at the Trump Plaza, I was intrigued. Would Singh's aesthetic translate into blinged-out interior décor?

The swanky setting turned out to be the perfect showcase for Singh's handcrafted mosaic statues in dazzling shades of crimson, tangerine, and turquoise. Singh, glowing in a pink Robert Rodriguez dress, said a trip to Bali last year inspired her to turn her attention away from focusing solely on jewelry—she was amazed that beautiful home temples were so commonplace there, and wanted to bring some of the spirituality of the east back to her clientele in the west.

Pieces range from a massive full-size Buddha to a seated Ganesh (above); my favorite was a red mosaic bust of Buddha perched atop a mirrored tower (I do happen to collect disco balls, though, so you'll understand my bias). Amrita Singh's home collection is now available on her website.
