Disney World’s New Luxury Hotel Will Have Chic Tree Houses and Waterfront A-frame Cabins
If you think staying at Walt Disney World means you’ll be trapped at a themed hotel, think again.
Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the new luxury Disney World hotel opening in 2022, is going to bring two unique lodging options savvy design fans won’t be able to resist.
The top-tier deluxe-level hotel first announced last fall promises a calming escape amidst the chaos that can come from family vacations to the most magical place on earth. With 900 rooms, serene settings and vast views out upon Walt Disney World’s Bay Lake, there was already plenty to look forward to — but thanks to a recent announcement at Disney’s D23 Expo, we know just how impressive this Disney resort hotel is about to be.
Disney fans were given a first-look at the hotel’s two upgraded room options, which include waterfront A-frame cabins with unimpeded views as well as sleek, modern “tree house” rooms, which appear to be two-story getaways with mid-century touches and exposed wood beams.
It’s the first time Disney has ever brought this specific aesthetic into their hotels, keeping in line with current real estate trends and popular architectural styles.
Like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort over-water bungalows or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge waterfront cabins, these two offerings are likely to be run through the company’s Disney Vacation Club time-share program, but can still seamlessly be booked by regular guests. (It’s actually one of our best tips for visiting Walt Disney World with large groups.)
It may be a few years before the stunning options debut at Walt Disney World, but you can bet we’ll be patiently waiting for them to arrive.
