Though the first Disney park opened in the 1950s, the various lands and worlds, now in cities as wide-spread as Paris and Shanghai, still attract millions of visitors a day. In fact, several of the Disney parks make up the list of the world's most visited tourist attractions.

Why are they so popular? For one, they have a pretty rare ability to attract and entertain every type of traveler. Nature lovers can head to Animal Kingdom for a safari, night owls have tons to see and do, and food lovers (even those with allergies or restrictions) have the world at their fingertips.

From an employees-only basketball court on the top of the Matterhorn to a speakeasy-esque private dinner club call Club 33,  even the biggest fan can still be surprised by the secrets the parks hold.
