The Dapper Dans, a barbershop quartet that performs at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, have brought joy to countless park visitors with their songs. And now that the Disney parks are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they’re bringing the Disney magic straight to your living room. More Disney news On March 25, 16 Disneyland Dapper Dans from all over the country released their first-ever at-home performance on the Disney Parks blog, singing “When You Wish Upon a Star,” one of the most iconic Disney songs. This tune, which first appeared in Disney’s “Pinocchio,” is sure to brighten up your day. The video starts with one of the Dapper Dans saying “some of the guys and I were thinking that since you can’t make it out to Main Street, U.S.A. to see us, we should use our voices from home to bring Main Street, U.S.A. to all of you.” In the blog post, you can vote on the next song the Dapper Dans should sing as a part of the #VoicesFromHome series. Choices include “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” which is the theme song of the Haunted Mansion attraction, and “When I See an Elephant Fly” from “Dumbo.” While it’s funny to see the Dapper Dans out of costume and off Main Street, this heartwarming video is just what we need right now. Disney fans around the world are coming up with creative ideas to bring the magic home, like virtual experiences and DIY attractions. The Disney Parks blog is also keeping fans updated while the parks are closed, with news from cast members — just yesterday they announced the birth of a baby zebra at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
