You Can Now Get Married Inside Disney's Magic Kingdom
Many brides dream of being a princess on their wedding days and now they actually can. Thanks to Walt Disney World and their impeccable knack of making dreams come true, happy couples can now say their “I dos” in the Magic Kingdom East Plaza Gardens during park hours.
While wedding ceremonies have occurred at Disney for years, they typically took place at the Wedding Pavilion located near the Grand Floridian Resort and several areas in Epcot. This is the first time Disney is hosting weddings during the day, inside the Magic Kingdom, when it’s open to the public.
“The East Plaza Garden at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is a venue like no other where you can now say your vows with your beloved sweetheart in the ultimate fantasy setting,” it says on the Disney Weddings blog. “Located at the end of Main Street U.S.A., the East Plaza Garden provides the perfect setting for a ceremony fit for royalty. Not only does Cinderella Castle provide a stunning backdrop for your nuptials, but you can arrive to your ceremony in style with Cinderella's Coach and for your wedding party a classic turn-of-the-century Main Street Vehicle.”
The ceremonies inside the Magic Kingdom will start at 9:30 a.m., and can accommodate up to 100 guests. But, the price tag for the fairy tale might not be so dreamy for some. A completely customized ceremony and reception for 100 guests starts at $75,000. Other wedding package collections start at $2,500, and custom experiences begin at $12,000.
"Couples have been seeking a celebratory location showcasing the iconic Cinderella Castle," said Korri McFann, Marketing Director for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, in a news release. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to make those dreams a reality."
