As one of the many picturesque areas in Canada, our 2017 Destination of the Year, Vancouver Island has so much to offer. Travel + Leisure, in partnership with LifeVR, captured the beautiful area in 360-degrees. Here, we take a closer look at Clayoquot Sound.

Clayoquot Sound has a diverse ecosystem, making it an amazing destination to explore. Watch above as we float in Port Renfrew, a 1,300-square-mile area filled with natural wonders.

You'll find some of the tallest trees in British Columbia, all of which can be explored on Meares Island’s Big Tree Trail. The 2.6-mile hike allows tourists to view thousand-year-old trees that reach nearly 150 feet tall.

This is the perfect way to explore the nature on Vancouver Island.
