It might be some time before we can all travel the globe again, but that doesn't mean we can't dream about (and even book) future trips. Train travel is a scenic way to visit destinations all over the country, whether you're taking a quick trip between cities or traveling across the U.S. by rail. And now's the perfect time to buy tickets, since Amtrak is offering up to 50% off fares for Black Friday.

You can score discounted fares on trips from Dec. 8, 2020 to April 30, 2021. The sale includes routes all over the U.S., such as New York to Washington, D.C. for $35, Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia for $28, and Chicago to New York for $56 — all in coach. You can even travel all the way from Los Angeles to Seattle for just $63 or New York to Miami for $81. There are also impressive deals on Acela business fares, including New York to Boston for $49 and New York to Philadelphia for $50.

If you want to take advantage of these deals, you'll have to act fast, since the sale only runs from Nov. 27 through 30. All fares will be automatically discounted, and no code is necessary.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Amtrak has implemented enhanced safety protocols on all of its trains, including mask requirements, limited bookings, efficient air filtration, and comprehensive disinfection procedures developed with Lysol.
