Earthquakes are scary from solid ground, but head underwater and you're in for a real headache.

According to Thrillist, a group of divers found themselves underwater during a 5.7-magnitude quake in Mabini Batangas, Philippines in April. The experience quickly turned into a once-in-a-lifetime sighting, considering not many people find themselves staring at the bottom of the ocean when the earth's tectonic plates decide to shift.

The whole thing is straight out of a fainting spell; it looks more like your eyes are shifting in and out of focus than anything. Check it out:

Jan Paul Rodriguez — the one who snapped the video — and the rest of the divers were undergoing a technical diving class when the quake occurred. No one was injured, according to Forbes, and they quickly resurfaced after witnessing the underwater quake.
