The International Space Station has given us a broader perspective not only of space, but also of our own world.

This week, the ISS passed over three storm systems in two oceans: Hurricane Lester and Madeline in the Pacific Ocean, and Hurricane Gaston in the Atlantic Ocean.

NASA posted a timelapse of the footage captured by the ISS' cameras which shows how the storms, while destructive on land, have a majestic beauty from space.

Madeline and Lester both pose a threat to Hawaii. While Madeline is projected to stay south of the islands, Lester could come very close to landfall this weekend.

Meanwhile, Florida is preparing for Tropical Storm Hermine, which could become a hurricane by the time it makes landfall.
