There's something special about experiencing a new place by bike—wind at your back, city sounds in your ears, no wait-time for public transportation. While the freedom (and exercise!) is great, there's also the responsibility for taking on unfamiliar traffic patterns. That's where Lumenus comes into play: biking attire with built-in lighting systems set to a GPS-enabled app.

All of the pieces contain stitched-in LED lights that flash when you're making turns, passing through intersections, and slowing down. The Lumenus collection consists of a lightweight jacket, an all-weather jacket, a commuter coat, a performance vest, and a backpack, if that's more your speed. On the other side of things, the clothing is also perfect for runners looking for higher visibility—great for anyone partaking in some vacation calorie-burning. the project is currently looking for funding via Kickstarter.
