Have a Look at Southwest's New, Employee-Designed Uniforms
Southwest Airlines is working on new uniforms for the first time in 20 years, and it’s handing off the reigns to the people who will wear them the most—the crew.
The airline selected 43 employees (from more than 500 who applied) to be a part of the design process. In the end, the team represented a range of ages, roles, and seniority levels. Gone are neck scarves and in are active jackets and skinny ties. The new uniforms are still technically in the beta phase with more than 120 employees across 37 cities wearing and evaluating the pieces for fit, comfort, functionality, and style.
Several of the pieces will be tweaked, or scrapped altogether, before the collection is finalized next year.
