If you act by Sunday.

If you haven't already heard, Virgin America will be no more in the near future. Alaska Airlines acquired the carrier and will be phasing out the brand.

While that has left many people who love Virgin America (including Richard Branson) somewhat bereft, there is a silver lining: You can get 10,000 miles just for signing up for Alaska's Mileage Plan. Alaska announced the offer a while ago, but the deadline has been extended to Sunday, April 30.

Virgin America Elevate members can opt for the 10,000 miles or a $100 flight credit.

You can find short one-way flights — Portland to San Francisco, for example — for 5,000, meaning this bonus can get you a free round-trip flight.
