Say it ain’t so: SkyMall—the beloved inflight magazine filled with all those items that in turn filled you with desire and made you scratch your head in confusion—has declared bankruptcy. Before the time of iPads, streaming TV channels, and other forms of electronic entertainment, SkyMall was the one constant, that reliable bit of comic relief you could always find waiting in the back-seat pocket after the hell of boarding was over. In honor of the magazine, here are a few products that perfectly exemplify why we loved it:

  • Night Glow Toilet Seat
  • “Night Glow seats safely guide your way, for all late night bathroom visits. Night Glow Glow seats are great for en-suite bathrooms, guest bathrooms, hotels, retirement homes, assisted living homes and for any toilet visited in the dark… Night Glow seats are constructed with high quality, integrally-molded, sanitary bumpers and withstand household cleansers and strong chemicals. Night Glow seats are made in Canada and will continue to glow for over 10 years!”
  • Tex the Armadillo Beverage Holder
  • “Protect your beverage of choice until you're ready to uncap and unwind! Our rough-n-ready armadillo, Tex, is a sure-fire conversation piece from his textured armor to his whiplash tail. Cast in quality designer resin and fully hand-painted, this memorable Toscano exclusive makes a great gift for anyone with desert roots or a soft spot for the Texas state mascot!”
  • Star Wars Darth Vader Toaster
  • “As the two suns rise over Tatooine (or just that single one over Earth), you'll make your toast and marvel at Star Wars logo branded into it. Be the first of your friends to place this on the countertop: Darth Vader's helmet, dispensing perfectly prepared breakfast bread.”
  • Circulation Improving Leg Wraps
  • “These leg wraps inflate and deflate to improve circulation, soothe sore muscles, and reduce swelling in your lower extremities. Similar to hospital compression boots that stimulate circulation in sedentary patients, the leg wraps have six airbags that wrap around the entire leg and inflate and deflate to help blood vessels expand and contract. The compression intervals stimulate circulation in the thighs, hamstrings, calves, and feet and help facilitate blood flow back to the heart. The corded remote allows you to select from three levels of intensity and choose from seven programs that pinpoint different areas.”
