Star Wars Fans Can Now Fly On C-3PO
There’s no need to go to a galaxy far, far away to hang out with your favorite Star Wars droid.
Fans can simply book a ticket on the latest addition to All Nippon Airways' Star Wars themed airplane fleet: the C-3PO 777-200.
The new plane is designed to look like the Disney franchise’s protocol droid, complete with golden hue and exposed wires. It's the ultimate flying experience for Star Wars fans.
The plane was unveiled this week at the Star Wars Celebration Europe event in London, and joins the BB-8 themed plane, R2-D2 Boeing Dreamliner, and the droid lover’s Boeing 767 outfitted with both BB-8 and R2-D2, which were unveiled last year.
The intergalactic fun continues inside the plane with enough Star Wars-themed decorations to rival a nine-year old’s birthday party, including headrest covers, napkins, and cups decorated with characters from the movie franchise, according to Australian Aviation. To complete the experience, ANA is including Star Wars movies as part of its in-flight entertainment selection.
Star Wars fans won’t be able to fly C-3PO to Comic Con, though, as the jealousy-inducing plane will only be flown on domestic Japanese routes.
