In what was likely the slowest invasion attempt ever, a sloth attempted to break into a store in Peru last week.

A shop owner in Pucallpa was surprised to arrive at his business in the morning to find the slow-moving creature attempting a break-in.

The entrance was closed, but that didn’t stop the sloth from attempting to get in despite a crowd of onlookers watching his every move, according to Fox News Latino.

A video was taken of the adorably failed attempt:

The sloth, which is an endangered animal, was safely returned to the park by staff from the Peru Institute of Natural Resources.
