Even remembering one list of all the world's countries is difficult, but there's one thing you may not have considered before: For every language, there is a different set of country names.

It's easy to forget when you've grown up knowing only one set.

That's the idea behind this map, which shares all of the world's many country names in the translation of the region's given language. It's a map of endonyms, or the names “for a place, site or location in the language of the people who live there.”
