Looking for a relaxing way to enjoy fall foliage?

Hop aboard Amtrak’s Autumn Express for a breathtaking ride through parts of New York, New Jersey, and Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Running on October 29 and 30, the Autumn Express will depart from New York’s Penn Station, passing the Hudson River and stopping in Newark, New Jersey, before heading west along the former Lehigh Valley Railroad.

Passengers area treated to historical sights like the Musconetcong Tunnel, which dates back to 1875 and views of charming small towns and famed landmarks as the train winds along Pennsylvania's Farm country, eventually changing direction in Harrisburg before rejoining Amtrak's Northeast Corridor back to Newark and New York.

Tickets are on sale $149 for adults and half the price for children ages two to twelve with each adult ticket. Tickets include a boxed lunch, complimentary tote, and lapel pin. There are also shirts on sale, but they are not included with the ticket.

To book a ticket, head to Amtrak’s website and select either “New York-Penn Station, NY (NYP)” or “Newark, NJ (NWK)” for the departure, “Autumn Express-Excursion Train, PA (AXP)” as the arrival station, and October 29 or 30 as the departure date.
