Tennis legend Serena Williams has been an outstanding friend to Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, throughout the royal’s pregnancy. According to reports, Williams doles out parental wisdom to her friend and even threw her a lavish baby shower in New York City to give her gal pal the best of the best. But, last week, Williams may have accidentally committed the biggest blunder of all: revealing the sex of Meghan and Harry’s baby.

In an interview with E! News, Williams shared, “My friend is pregnant, and she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ (and) I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not. No, you’re not. She was like, ‘I need to talk to you about tips,’ because, yes, I had all of those high expectations.”

Sure, this doesn’t seem like much, but look closer. Williams says “she.” Not “the baby” not “it” or “they.” Williams refers to her friend’s baby as “she.”

Williams also noted that mothers, in general, put too much pressure on themselves. As a global piece of advice, she shared, "Accept mistakes and don't expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.”

Though you may be tempted to run over to your nearest bookie and start placing bets on Meghan and Harry’s first child being a girl, you may want to hold your horses just for a minute.

Yes, Williams let slip that someone is having a girl, but, she never explicitly refers to Meghan. Instead, she simply says “my friend.” And we’re guessing Williams is a pretty popular woman who likely has more than one girlfriend, and potentially more than one girlfriend who is with child.

And, Williams could have been using “she” as a placeholder. In January, Meghan shared with a fan that she and her husband wanted to keep the sex of their child a surprise, which means they may not even know what the baby’s gender is yet either.

But, just to be safe, maybe put $10 on a girl. And another $5 that her name will be Diana.
