Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child on Monday, a boy, into the world. And now, we are finally getting our first look at the adorable child.

Following the child’s birth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took part in an intimate photo shoot. There, Meghan looked stunning in a white trench coat dress, nude heels, and her hair down. Harry dressed smartly in a grey suit and navy tie while holding onto his firstborn child.

The baby, wrapped in a white blanket with a white knit hat, looked absolutely serene as he slept in his father’s arms.

“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019,” the pair wrote in an Instagram message earlier this week announcing his birth. “Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days."

Those missing details still include the baby’s name, which has yet to be revealed by the couple. However, it isn’t odd that the royal couple hasn’t shared the name. As Elle noted, Kate Middleton and Prince William waited two days before announcing both Prince George and Princess Charlotte's names. The couple waited a full four days before sharing Prince Louis's name.

Beyond the baby’s name, we will also have to wait to find out if he gets a title. That honor is up to the Queen. Elle explained, right now, only William's kids are given the titles of princess or prince automatically at birth, as he is the direct heir to the throne. The Queen may choose to give the baby the title of Prince, however, it’s at least very likely he will be an earl as the child will one day inherit Harry's Earl of Dumbarton title.
