Meghan Markle is on a well-deserved break from the limelight. The new mother gave birth to her first child, Archie, in May, and has since been on maternity leave from all her royal duties. She has made time, however, to make at least one appearance at the Trooping of the Colour in celebration of the Queen. And now, it appears royal fans will get a second glimpse of the Duchess of Sussex this weekend at Wimbledon.

A source told Entertainment Tonight Meghan will be in attendance to watch her dear friend Serena Williams, who threw her lavish American baby shower, play in the tournament. And, because the tournament begins on July 1, we could be getting a glimpse of the Duchess by Monday.

According to the source, the only way Meghan will not be at Wimbledon is if "the baby [Archie] keeps her home last minute."

Her appearance at Wimbledon wouldn’t be too surprising or out of character. In 2016, Meghan attended the event just prior to announcing her relationship with Prince Harry. In 2018, Meghan attended with her now sister-in-law Kate Middleton to watch the ladies' finals. Elle explained it was the first joint event for the duo and the last appearance for just the two of them.

After a brief appearance at Wimbledon, Meghan is expected to return to her maternity leave with Archie, though she may pop up a few more times before returning full-time. A source told to Elle in June that Meghan is expected to make "intermittent appearances" during her maternity leave.

As the source shared: “This is similar to the Duchess of Cambridge’s maternity leave where she made a few appearances at family and personal events [Trooping the Couple and Wimbledon] but did not carry out any official duties as a member of the Royal Family during maternity leave.”

Stay tuned for the inevitably fashionable royal pictures to come.
