In 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle captured the world’s attention with their spectacular royal wedding. From the ring to the dress, the Hollywood guest list, and even their exceptionally cool exit in a one-of-a-kind E-Type Concept Zero Jaguar, the couple had everyone wanting more. But now, two years into marriage, the duo is celebrating their life together in a much more low-key fashion.

On May 19, the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in a very un-Hollywood way. According to Us Weekly, the pair honored the day by exchanging heartfelt and homemade items rather than exchanging lavish gifts.

“Meghan designed Harry’s card, and handwrote a beautiful, sentimental message inside expressing her love for him,” a source told Us Weekly. “Harry surprised Meghan with a huge, stunning bouquet of roses and a ring, which she loves.”

Since moving to the United States a few weeks ago the pair have seldomly left their rental home, which is owned by none other than actor Tyler Perry. And that's also where they celebrated their anniversary with their son, Archie.

A source shared with Page Six, the couple “laid low” for the day, “taking the day to relax and be together with no distractions. No work. No calls. Just family time and keeping it simple.”

And really, the couple deserves a little time off to themselves. Even in the midst of the pandemic — and a major move — the pair have still found time to give back. First, they were spotted hand-delivering meals to those in need around Los Angeles with the charity Project Angel Food.

Then, Meghan and baby Archie made a little Instagram video not only in honor of Archie’s first birthday, but also to help raise funds for Save the Children’s new campaign, @SaveWithStories, which “provides fun and education to kids and parents stuck at home during the coronavirus outbreak.”

"Like everyone else, they are in lockdown at the moment, so they will just be hanging out together at home," yet another source shared with Harper’s Bazaar about the couple’s anniversary celebration. "But it will still be a lovely day."
