Kensington Palace Shares a Very Happy Photo of Prince William for His Birthday
Prince William definitely looks like he has a lot to smile about on his 37th birthday.
The Kensington Palace social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram shared a photo of Prince William in honor of his 37th birthday on Friday, June 21, Marie Claire reported. And he seems pretty happy to be celebrating after a very eventful year.
Not only did his brother, Prince Harry, and sister-in-law, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, welcome their son, Archie, into the world this year, it’s also been a year chock full of events, tours, and living life as a busy royal and father of three.
According to The Sun, the photo shared by Kensington Palace is from Prince William’s tour of Kenya, Tanzania, and Namibia in 2018. The palace has shared it before back when the Prince was on tour last year, but clearly, it’s such a good photo, we just had to see it again.
The Kensington Palace photo was also captioned with a message of thanks for all the birthday wishes.
But it wasn’t just Kensington Palace that was celebrating Prince William’s birthday on social media.
Clarence House, which is also the office of Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, shared an adorable vintage photo of toddler William on Instagram and Twitter, playing with his dad in the Kensington Palace garden all the way back in 1984, according to The Sun. He is two years old in the photograph.
The Royal Family Instagram also shared a photo slideshow of Prince William through the years. The first photo is a picture of himself and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, the second is a picture of him as a baby, then, of course, there are pictures of him with his wife, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and his children, throwback photos of him in his military uniform, and even more shots of family.
Prince William’s uncle, Prince Andrew, also sent birthday wishes on the HRH Duke of York Instagram and Twitter accounts. The photo is of Prince Andrew and young Prince William, who is visiting his uncle on a helicopter aboard the HMS Brazen in 1986, according to The Sun.
According to Marie Claire, it’s unclear how Prince William will be celebrating his birthday, but it’s more likely to be a private affair than a big blow out.
