Katy Perry Practiced Her Princess Skills (and Called Out Meghan Markle) at Disneyland
Katy Perry may be a huge celebrity, but that didn’t stop her from getting just as giddy as the rest of us when she visited Disneyland.
Perry recently showed off her love for the happiest place on Earth in an Instagram story filled with photos of the sights, sounds, rides, and princesses that fill the park.
The “Firework” singer was on hand at Disneyland to celebrate a young friend’s fifth birthday, Entertainment Tonight reported. She kicked off her Insta-story with a snap of a very special Mickey Mouse-shaped cake reading, “Happy 5th Birthday Kai.”
Next, Perry threw a quick warning to Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle with a photo alongside Snow White. Perry captioned the shot, “Coming for that spot with my princess poses @meghanmarkle.”
In the post fans also got their first glimpse of Perry’s head-to-toe Disney ensemble, which consisted of a matching black and white striped top and leggings emblazoned with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Perry then met up with the famous mouse duo and asked the pair about their date night rituals for a short video. She then further prodded Minnie for her style secrets saying, “Who does your lashes?” and “Do you get threading on your eyebrows? How do you feel about hanging hair on your face?”
Of course, Perry didn’t miss out on the rides while visiting the park. As Perry showed she hopped on the park’s carousel, her time in the Mad Tea Party and even shared a perfectly posed snap of her riding Space Mountain.
If you’re like Perry and only have one day to explore everything Disneyland has to offer Travel+Leisure has a few tips for you.
First, purchase your tickets ahead of time. This way you can skip the line and save all that time for the rides.
Next, arrive as early as possible to maximize your day and beat the afternoon crowds. And make sure to download the Disneyland App while you’re at it. This way you can check ride line times, have a handy map available and be able to track where characters are positioned throughout the park.
And if you’re with a group but really short on time try the “single rider” lines that are available at several of the attractions including Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Indiana Jones Adventure. You may not get to sit with your friends but you’ll be able to experience the rides in record time.
