Julia Roberts' Latest Trip to Italy Was Nothing Like 'Eat Pray Love'
The stunning (and somehow completely ageless) actor Julia Roberts made a rare fashion show appearance at the first Calzedonia Leg Show in Verona, Italy on Tuesday. She was there to help represent the brand’s stylish garments. According to Roberts, it was her first time visiting the northern Italian city.
“Is everyone looking at my legs? Good, we’ve done the right thing,” Roberts told Women’s Wear Daily at the event.
Roberts, WWD reported, has been the face of the Italian tights brand for four years and counting.
The 49-year-old actor walked the red carpet looking effortlessly chic in a pink Dior mini-dress, polka-dot tights from the brand, and black suede booties.
While meeting with the press, WWD reported that Roberts looked equally put together in the brand’s black fishnet tights, a white Equipment button-down, black Givenchy miniskirt, and Longchamp ankle boots.
“I’m just happy to work for a company that has the same values of family that I have,” Roberts told WWD. “I appreciate this collaboration because, maybe four years ago, I was getting a little lazy about my fashion, and this [partnership] kind of brought me back into the fun of adding that element of stockings and tights.”
Beyond sharing her love of fashion, Roberts also shared a few of her beauty tips. Her single biggest secret? Radiating happiness from the inside out.
“It really is about being happy in your life and surround[ing] yourself with people that are meaningful to you,” she said. “All those things translate and become what you look like.…You can kind of fake it in your twenties but in your fifties, how you feel is really just there on your face.”
Luckily for all of us, we can afford both this beauty secret as well as the exact same tights Roberts wore to the event, which retail for just under $15 on Calzedonia’s website.
