Heidi Klum has traveled extensively throughout her career, but there are still some destinations she has on her bucket list.
“I’ve always wanted to visit China and specifically, the Great Wall of China,” Klum told Travel + Leisure. “It’s such an amazing place with tons of history that is really fascinating and I love going to new places where I can learn more about the country their history, and their culture.”
The Great Wall stretches more than 5,000 miles through China’s hills. Constructed during the seventh century, the architectural marvel allows visitors to walk through history in the midst of vast and changing natural landscapes that include deserts, grasslands, mountains, and plateaus.
Today, the wall's different sections each offer diverse scenery. Popular activities include hiking thorough the many orchard routes and winding paths, and paragliding from Simatai to the valley below.

There's also the Huánghuāchéng Great Wall Lakeside Reserve, where visitors can see portions of the wall submerged under the water and go hiking or take a boat tour.
There are also night tours night tours from May to October, when lit walkways and towers offer an alternative view.
The country is also planning to create what will be the world’s deepest and largest high-speed railway station at the Badaling section, set to be completed in 2019 to make transportation in the area all the more efficient.
