According to Radio-Canada, the former first family will be there for all of next week. In 2003, the then-President of France Jacques Chirac visited the hotel with his wife. “It’s a quiet, small-town area — but also relatively easy to get to from major cities — which is no doubt partially why it’s attractive to the Clintons,” said T+L Editor in Chief Nathan Lump, who added that the food — like the fine dining restaurant, Le Hatley — is one of the big features of the hotel. Nearby points of interest include the Abbaye Saint-Benoît-du-Lac, the amazing indoor-outdoor Spa Nordic, and family-owned cheesemaker The Station. The Clinton family is expected to stay in one of the suites away from the main building. Secret Service conducted a security check on the hotel last week. An idyllic Canadian vacation sounds like a great break ahead of Hillary Clinton’s book launch. Her book, “What Happened,” a detailing of her presidential campaign, will be released on September 12.
