Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger Are Honeymooning in Hawaii
Chris Pratt and his new bride Katherine Schwarzenegger are having one seriously good month. Not only did the two tie the knot in early June, but now it appears they're on a lovely tropical honeymoon in one of the most romantic places on Earth.
According to reports, the newlyweds are spending time on the Hawaiian island of Lanai. The island, located nine miles away from Maui, is the smallest inhabited island in the archipelago.
There, the couple could be hiking along its famed shoreline, renting four-wheelers for a bit of fun, snorkeling in the crystal blue waters, playing a round of golf, or getting a spa treatment or two at their resort.
At the very least, we know they are having a good meal. According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Pratt was spotted "swimming in the pool with goggles on and eating french fries."
And, according to another source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the couple isn’t just there for their honeymoon, but for a dual celebration for Pratt’s 40th birthday as well.
"The couple wanted something relaxing, and Hawaii is very special to Chris," the source said.
Of course, Hawaii is a very special place for Pratt, who spent time there prior to becoming a big Hollywood star. Pratt has previously discussed his life in the islands, where he lived in a van and worked odd jobs to get by.
"They both love Hawaii and the laid-back vibe. They chose a place that is extremely quiet and peaceful," another source told E! News. "There's not many people around and there's nowhere else more perfect for them to celebrate this new chapter in their lives."
So, where exactly is the couple staying? We don’t know, but we do know they have a few great options for accommodations including the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay as well as the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele. The first comes with 201 rooms and borders a marine reserve, while the second is a 20-acre highland property with stunning 360-degree views of the island below. Either way, it’s bound to be a trip to remember for both Pratt and Schwarzenegger.
