Around this time every year, A-listers swarm a small swath of the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival, making it difficult to remember that this idyllic resort town—and its jaw-dropping coastline, amazing hotels, and buzzy nightclubs—are available to the hoi polloi year-round.
Come during any other month, and you can eat, stay, and party at the places celebrities love. These famous spots have welcomed everyone from Brad Pitt to Susan Sarandon, and this year the likes Leonardo DiCaprio, Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively, and Katy Perry are in town.
And if you want a shot at seeing one of these big names (or simply want to embark on a luxurious getaway) then make sure to stake out one or all of these places.
Where to stay
There are a few celebrity go-tos in Cannes, including Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, where Heidi Klum has been spotted. Robert Pattinson and Scarlett Johansson have stayed at Hotel Martinez.
Where to eat
While many people stay at Eden Roc, just as many people stop over for a quick bite. Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted having lunch the other day at the waterfront restaurant. At Tetou, a nearby seafood restaurant overlooking Golfe Juan beach, has welcomed Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg, and Clint Eastwood.
Where to party
It wouldn’t be the Cannes Film Festival without some parties. Most of them are invite-only, but there are some hot spots—like Gotham Nightclub, a favorite of Kendall Jenner and Paris Hilton.
Where to shop
If there were one place to shop it would be Rue d'Antibes, a.k.a. the Rodeo Drive of Cannes. Kate Hudson was spotted engaging in some retail therapy along the famous strip over the weekend where designers like bonjour and Mont Blanc have shops.
Where to relax
Relaxing is actually one of the harder things to do in Cannes. Since the beaches are mostly reserved for hotel guests, it can be difficult to nab a spot along the water. Most of the celebrities opt for private boats (again a bit tricky) like Roman Abramovich's mega-yacht, Eclipse, where Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted cozying up over the weekend.
