Carrie Underwood Took a Break From Her World Tour to Jump Out of a Plane
“Jesus, take the wheel,” were—we imagine—Carrie Underwood’s thoughts as she went skydiving in Sydney, Australia, over the weekend.
While on tour down under, Underwood took an afternoon off to jump out of a plane with Sydney Skydivers and recorded the whole thing for Instagram.
After completing the required training course, Underwood and her crew went up 14,000 feet and hitched up for a tandem jump.
The singer shared several mid-jump photographs from her adventure on Instagram, saying “Still can’t believe I did this!”
Underwood also created one of the best skydiving playlists of all time. In a video, she psyched herself up for the fall by lipsyncing “Leaving on a Jet Plane” by John Denver, “Jump” by The Pointer Sisters and (of course) “Free Fallin’” by Tom Petty.
“I didn’t cry at all,” Underwood said after she had safely landed on the ground.
“This crew takes the #RipcordWorldTour thing seriously,” Underwood wrote on Instagram. Then just a few hours after landing back on the ground, the singer was up on stage at Quidos Bank Arena and performing for fans.
