Arnold Schwarzenegger photobombs unsuspecting tourists in Paris
Arnold Schwarzenegger may need a little instruction on photo-taking etiquette.
The former “Mr. Olympia, Conan, Terminator, and Governor of California,” as he self-describes, visited France over the weekend to pick up an award bestowed on him by French President François Hollande.
“Thank you, President @fhollande, for presenting me with this great distinction - Commander of the order of the Legion of Honor for my environmental work,” Schwarzenegger wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “I'm also thankful for your fantastic effort to make COP21 a success and help lead the world to a clean energy future. I look forward to continuing to work together to follow through and make our goals a reality!”
Surely, the distinction is well-deserved, but it was another Instagram post of Schwarzenegger’s that has everyone talking.
After picking up his award, Schwarzenegger took to his mountain bike and rode around visiting some of Paris’ landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower. There, the 69-year-old movie star photobombed a group of tourists just trying to get a nice picture together.
”We all went to Paris on a group tour and we all got together for a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower,” Lek Wattana told The Sun. “Then some foreigner on a bike stopped in front of the group. I was thinking to myself ‘why is he so rude?’”
After snapping the image, Schwarzenegger thanked the group for “letting me crash your photo.” It wasn’t until he rode off that the group realized who the famous, albeit rude, tourist really was.
