Universal CityWalk Hollywood begins a phased reopening on June 10, welcoming guests back to a number of dining and shopping venues after closing in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic. CityWalk will be open daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a number of new health and safety measures in place.

For its reopening, Universal CityWalk is focusing on screening, spacing, and sanitization, according to a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. Guests will now enter CityWalk through a single point of entry, and they will have their temperature checked upon arrival. Guests with temperatures higher than 100.4 degrees will not be permitted to enter, and everyone must wear a face covering throughout their visit.

There will also be limited occupancy at all venues to promote physical distancing between guests, and high-touch points, like chairs and tables, will be rigorously cleaned and disinfected. A video from Universal Studios Hollywood highlights other guidance for guests planning to visit CityWalk. There will be complimentary self-parking offered during this initial opening period, too.

Locations opening today include: Voodoo Doughnut, Johnny Rockets, Blaze Pizza, Starbucks, Crepe Café, Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Buca di Beppo, Shoe Palace, Skechers, and Guess Accessories. Additional venues will be added as CityWalk’s phased opening continues.

This news comes nearly a month after Universal Orlando’s CityWalk reopened to guests. Universal Studios’ east coast theme park resort reopened to the public on June 5, welcoming guests back to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, and select resort hotels. Currently, there is no reopening date set for the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. Disney World recently announced plans to reopen its theme parks in July, starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11 and Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 15. Meanwhile, Disneyland has not yet unveiled its plans to reopen.
