These 'Star Wars' Pop-up Bars Are the Best Places to Hang Out After Seeing 'The Last Jedi'
Star Wars fans, these actually are the bars you’ve been looking for.
For the people out there who are planning to (or possibly already have) seen "The Last Jedi," the perfect place to hang out throughout the holiday season now exists. When you’re not spending quality time with your family, that is.
The Dark Side Bars, Star Wars-themed pop up bars you can find in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington D.C., are perfectly suited for Lucas geeks to sip on spacey cocktails until Jan. 15.
Each pop-up includes intergalactic decor, trivia nights, DJs, “alien speed dating” nights, and an "intergalactic burlesque show featuring performers from many different planets” in addition to a unique cocktail menu. The bars in New York City and Washington, D.C. also feature a food menu for hungry Jedi.
Among the six amazing drinks from a galaxy far, far away is The Imperial, made from rum, spices, maple extract, citrus juice, and cayenne to “lure your darkest passions.” And there’s also The Galaxy, made with black vodka and exotic fruit extracts, which literally smokes.
If you do want to stop for a bite, you can dine on octopus skewers and vegan sushi rolls, among other things.
Star Wars cosplay is encouraged but not required. All guests must purchase tickets in order to enter this incredible bar experience. Advance tickets are $33 and include two custom cocktails. Walk-ins are also welcome, but cost $40. Bars are open Wednesday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sundays from 6 p.m. to midnight.
