It would be so nice...

Madonna’s time in London is famous for giving the singer a new accent. But nobody ever talks about her flat.

From 1999 to 2003, Madonna lived in South Kensington with then-husband Guy Ritchie. Although the apartment may seem lush, bear in mind that this was only the couple’s launching pad. They moved into something bigger after a few years.

Now, it's back on the market as a holiday rental.

Despite being owned by the Material Girl, the flat is a tasteful apartment without any flashy bells and whistles. The building is a traditional mews house (carriage house below, living quarters on top) in South Kensington. There are three bedrooms, spacious high ceilings, and an open library. There’s even a piano in the living room for busting out impromptu renditions of your favorite Madonna tunes.

The best feature of the rental is perhaps its location. It’s located a short walk from Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Will and Kate) live with their children. It’s also a quick stroll to Museum Row (with the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum), and Kensington Gardens.

But, of course, living like Madonna does not come cheap. To sleep where the Queen of Pop once lived, the rental rate starts at $500 per night.

But if you split the cost between six people (the apartment’s nightly capacity), it’s actually a fairly affordable holiday. It could be so nice.
