Prince Harry is already one proud royal papa.

Ever since he and Meghan Markle announced they are expecting their first child, Harry can’t stop bragging and talking about the impending bundle of joy. Though we know the baby isn’t due until the spring and that Meghan is likely four months pregnant, we don’t know much else.

Except, now, that Harry is hoping for a princess. (Though, not an actual princess.)

On Sunday morning, while making an appearance during his royal tour of Australia, Harry met with well-wishers along the street. At the time, a fan yelled out to Harry, “I hope it’s a girl!” Harry quickly responded, “So do I!” as he walked away.

This isn't the first time Prince Harry has suggested the idea he might want a daughter. As The Cut pointed out, Harry recently met with a new mom and her 5-month-old daughter during an Australian meet-and-greet. The mom shared that the little girl’s name was Harriet and Harry thought it was a “great name.”

Though Harriet is most certainly an adorable moniker, it likely won’t make the cut in the end for the newest royal’s name. According to bookies in the United Kingdom, Alexander is the favored male name with 2/1 odds, and Alice is the favorite for a girl at 5/2.

“At this stage Diana, Arthur and Alice, which was favorite at different stages for Kate and William’s babies, are the 12/1 front-runners,” Katie Baylis of Betfair, shared with the Evening Standard. “However, with months until the baby is born, those odds will shorten, change and other names will come to the forefront.”

Boy or girl, we’re sure the royal couple will be pleased either way as long as the newest royal is a smiling, healthy babe.
