Kate Middleton is officially an auntie.

On Monday, at exactly 1:58 p.m. local time, Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews welcomed their son into the world. The baby weighed a healthy 8 lbs. and 9 oz.

Pippa gave birth in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, the same place where Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed all three of their children.

"Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well," a spokesperson for the family told reporters. A Kensington Palace spokesperson additionally noted that Kate and Prince William are “thrilled” with the new arrival.

Pippa famously attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Friday, looking as if she were ready to give birth any moment inside St. George’s Chapel. Pippa also happened to give birth just one day after news broke that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their own bundle of joy in the spring.

After announcing her pregnancy in June, Pippa chronicled her baby bump’s ups and downs in her column for supermarket monthly Waitrose Kitchen magazine.

“I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness. That meant I was able to carry on as normal,” she wrote in her announcement. She then shared her pregnancy workout routine —which included plenty of tennis — along with some adorable maternity swimsuits for water aerobics.

“From personal experience, I’d confidently say I find it has been the most enjoyable and rewarding form of exercise since I found out I was expecting,” she wrote of water aerobics. “It’s comforting to know that it’s safe throughout pregnancy, and you don’t need to adapt and change too much (unlike most other sports). It’s so good for you that you could swim every day – as long as you don’t overexert yourself – right up until the end of the third trimester.”

Now, if only she’d start sharing the parenting advice Kate’s undoubtedly giving her in her next column we’d be all set.
