Being cooped up in a plane can take its toll on your body. This is why many health professionals advise that you move around from time to time during your flight, especially if you’re on a long-haul.

Of course, there are a few people out there who take this advice to the most extreme degrees, opting to do full on workouts, sometimes even full yoga routines, in the middle of the aisle. One anonymous passenger on an unknown airline chose push-ups as his in-flight exercise of choice.

Express revealed that a passenger wearing multi-colored crocs was spotted doing push-ups in the middle of the plane aisle during their flight. A video was taken by Instagram user @_eknd and posted to the Passenger Shaming Instagram account, leaving many users feeling conflicted.

Some passengers, upon seeing the video, were fairly disgusted with the person, claiming that the floors are probably one of the dirtiest parts of the plane. “I’m more concern about the fact he is touching the plane floor,” one user commented.

Others were more concerned about the passenger blocking the aisles for others and crowding the flight attendants’ work space. “Bottom line – don’t block flight attendant jump seats. It’s the only place they have to go in turbulence,” said one commenter.

Other users came to the passenger’s defense, saying that the workout is much better than simply taking a short walk down the aisle. “Nothing wrong with doing some push ups on an aircraft during long haul flights. Promotes good blood circulation and avoids DVT,” one commenter said. “It’s not really healthy to sit in a vegetative state for 12 hours straight. I don’t think people should be shamed for exercising,” said another, adding, “I’m sure they would’ve moved if someone wanted to get past.”

The video itself has had over 212,000 views since posting. Clearly, keeping fit on your flight is still a hot button issue for many travelers.
